Helping Others Live the Truth of Jesus in Everyday Life

The truth of Jesus starts with recognizing that we need Him. We need a Savior because we all sin, every day. The Good News is that "if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness." (1 John 1:9)
In 1 Timothy 1:12-17 the Apostle Paul talks about the amazing grace of Jesus Christ and its effect on his life: "I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him, even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted his people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief. Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus. This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: 'Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners'—and I am the worst of them all. But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life. All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen."

There are many things we can be as a local church. Our mission at ACC is to Live the Truth of Jesus in Everyday Life. So often church is seen only as something to do on Sundays; it's something we can check off the list in order to move on with the rest of our week. In reality, church is much more than that! Our hope and prayer is that we would Live the Truth every day. We ask each other, "How is Tuesday going for you?" because it helps us remember that our Christian faith is a daily practice, not a once-a-week or once-a-month event we attend. If you are looking for a group of people who will help you Know God, Make Friends, and Add Value, ACC may be your kind of place.
